This lithe, pale, dark-haired ingenue may be best known as the placid, abused waitress Shelly Johnson in David Lynch's hallucinatory TV series "Twin Peaks" (ABC, 1990-92). Amick reprised the part in the feature prequel "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me" (1992).

Her other feature credits include the likably lowbrow thriller, "Stephen King's Sleepwalkers" (1992), in which she starred as a virgin who falls for a handsome high school student who's secretly a soul-eating mutant, and the lackluster comedy "Don't Tell Her It's Me" (1990).
